This STIHL MS381 chainsaw is typically used for very heavy duty use on a wide variety of commercial or farming jobs. The 20″ chainsaw features a decompression valve which is part of the easy start-system. The valve should be pressed before starting in order to reduce the compression pressure when starting, reducing the effort needed to pull the starter rope. All important functions such as start, choke, throttle and stop are operated via a single lever. With the variable-displacement oil pump, the exact chain oil output can be adjusted manually for varying conditions, allowing for a reduction of up to 50%.
