The STIHL MS 212 petrol chainsaw is our most powerful petrol chainsaw for homeowners. Whether you are cutting firewood, pruning branches or felling small trees, the MS 212 packs all the power you need to tackle the toughest maintenance jobs.

Powered by a STIHL 2-MIX engine, the MS 212 has great cutting performance and low fuel consumption. It’s fitted with a 3/8″ P saw chain which has high cutting performance thanks to the narrow kerf and available with either a 14” or 16” guide bar. The STIHL anti-vibration system reduces transmission of vibrations to the handle, which relieves strain on your muscles and joints. The MS 212 has single-lever operation and is effortless to restart after interruptions thanks to the combi-lever. It’s also fitted with a transparent fuel and oil tank, so you can clearly see when the chainsaw needs a fuel or oil top up.

Features

STIHL Quickstop®

STIHL chainsaws are equipped with a chain stopping system designed to reduce the risk of injury in certain kickback situations. It is called a STIHL Quickstop® chain brake. The STIHL Quickstop® chain brake is designed to stop the rotation of the chain if activated by the operator’s hand or by inertia if the saw kicks back with sufficient force. In some working positions, the STIHL Quickstop® chain brake can be activated by inertia, stopping the chain within fractions of a second.

Anti-Vibration System

STIHL has developed a system for minimizing the vibration levels of handheld outdoor power equipment. The STIHL anti-vibration system helps reduce operator fatigue and provides a more comfortable working experience.

Toolless Fuel and Oil Caps with Retainers

Simply lift the lever and twist the caps to remove or tighten. There’s no need to use a tool to tighten or loosen.

Translucent Fuel Tank

Allows operator to easily check fuel level before starting work.

Master Control Lever™

The Master Control Lever™ is an easy to use single lever, operating the choke, starting throttle lock, and on-off switch. The operator must pull the throttle trigger before moving the Master Control Lever™ to the choke position.

Purge Pump Primer

The purge pump primer feature enables the user to prime the carburetor with fuel, enabling easier starting. The purge pump primer is designed in a way that the operator cannot flood the machine by priming the carburetor too many times. Flooding the engine is still possible if the choke is not removed after the engine turns over.

Easy to remove for fast and easy filter cleaning or replacement.
