Mountfield MTF 84M Rear Collect 33″ Ride On Lawn Mower

If you want to move up from a rider to a lawn tractor with maximum manoeuvrability, the Mountfield MTF 84M is the perfect choice. With a 33” (84cm) width of cut, the MTF 84M has a slightly wider cut than many of the riders on the market. Most lawn tractors of this size use a single blade but the MTF 84M uses two contra-rotating blades for an improved cut and collection.

At just 880mm wide, the MTF 84M is narrow enough to fit through a standard garden gate meaning access is never a problem whilst still being large and powerful enough to tackle large areas of grass.

This model has a manual, mechanical transmission with five forward speeds and one reverse. There is a lever operation to select the gears. This simple control makes the transition from mowing wide open spaces to mowing tight areas very easy.

The blades are engaged electronically via a switch on the dashboard. Once cutting is underway, the grass clippings are fed effortlessly into the 200 litre grass collector by the ‘direct collect’ system. When the collector is full, a warning tone sounds and the collector can easily be emptied from the sitting position.

The height of cut is adjusted by a single lever offering 7 cutting heights between 25 and 80mm. So, whether it is a lawn, orchard or roadside verge you are cutting, there will be a height of cut to suit.

A wash port allows the underside of the deck to be cleaned of grass clippings and dirt without you needing to go near the blades.

To add to the versatility of this lawn tractor, a rear deflector chute is available if grass collection is not required. A mulching kit and a towing hitch are also available as optional extras.
