Heavy Duty Spiral Auger

The Heavy Duty Spiral Auger is specifically designed for boring holes or sampling extremely hard or frozen soil. It can also be used to clear away the top layer of hard soil if you want to sample deeper. The corkscrew shape is ideal for boring holes quickly. The auger is additionally tipped in carbide to make it incredibly strong. The screw shape combined with the extremely hard carbide tip is the best tool to quickly drill holes in the toughest conditions. 

This 12″ auger is 1 1/4″ in diameter and has a double twist with 2 1/4″ twist. The auger sections are 8″ long with 4″ shanks. It can be used with any of our extension rods and handles to create the right auger length for your need.

Made with the exceptional workmanship and materials, our augers are finely machined for smooth, easy sampling, and long-lasting durability. All Oakfield Apparatus augers are constructed of high-grade nickel chrome plated steel for extra rust, tarnish and corrosion resistance. The carbide tip is extra sharp and tough for use in hard conditions. All soil sampling components are interchangeable so you can easily add parts as needed.
