DAYTON FLAT-HEAD Axe – 5 lb

Council Tool makes this great little general use axe with a 5 lb Dayton-style head on a 28″ straight maul hickory handle (also available in 36″ straight hickory handle). 

Short, compact, economical….great little mid-size tool for a working boss!

Fantastic axe that’s very similar to their 6 lb FE6 axe with the marrying slot.  Both are well-balanced compact axes that are equally great at cutting or walloping.  While this one doesn’t have a locking marrying-slot like the FE6, a 24″ halligan fork can still be married to the head….especially if you go old-school and take a file to it and grind your own slot!

And as with all Council Tool products….it’s MADE IN THE USA!
