The shape of our LARP foam Battle axe is based on weapons used in the late Middle Ages. The all-foam shaft has a round fiberglass core and 15 cm steel tube embedded in the handle for better control and balance of the weapon.

Battle axes are specifically designed for combat. Unlike with traditional tool axes, battle axes are typically lighter and narrower because they are designed to chop limbs rather than wood. As with most other weapons, a single-handed battle axe has to be light and agile in order to be effective in warfare.
